Naptime cheat...because sometimes it's ok to just think 'stuff it' - I'm tired too, and this won't last forever. One day I'll wish my arm would go dead from the weight of his little sleeping body as he snores away on my shoulder. The washing can wait. The parcel I just missed can wait. Even I can wait, because soon he will be an hour older and that hour will turn to days, days to months and months to years...and I'll probably wish I'd just spent a little bit more time just doing this: Nothing...and everything X
For all the Mummies going back to work...this one's for you
Having a baby - the things they never told me about pregnancy, labour and motherhood
The diary of a 9 month old escape artist
It really is nothing and everything! Special moments :) #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteI'm reading this whilst baby naps on me. This is one of my favourite parts of our time together. Given up trying to put her down - it's only for such a short time #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteTotally agree (until I need a wee that is!)
DeleteSo beautiful and perfect. Never miss the opportunity, they aren't small for long. Thanks for sharing with us at #KCACOLS. Hope you can join us again next Sunday. Nicky x
ReplyDeleteI remember one phase where all his naps were spent cuddled in my arms. Where better? #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteToo true! I spent too much time trying to transfer baby from me to moses basket/cot thinking I'd cause sleep issues when I should have just enjoyed the cuddles! #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteDefinitely - they change so often, I've realised its not worth worrying about! X
DeleteIt's the most amazing feeling to know that they feel safe enough to go to sleep. My son is 13 months and most of the time goes to sleep by himself in his cot so on the odd occasion he needs to be cuddled to sleep I relish it :-) #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteArthur is 17 months and will now fall asleep at bedtime (not naptime) in his cot but only if I am still there....I'm not sure when he will be happy to be left on his own to fall asleep - not sure it will be anytime soon!!
DeleteI do this every second day lol
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

Awesome post! They do grow oh so fast, I had a moment just like this yesterday. Napped for 3 hours with my boy-and it was awesome! <3 Enjoy it mama #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit jealous!! Arthur usually only has one hour nap in the day now - he didn't even do three hours when he was small (I'll be honest, I'm lucky to get 3 hours at night without getting woken up!)
DeleteI miss nap time cuddles- my baby is only 11 months but far too independent for snuggles with his mama unless he's poorly. Love that photo of you, very cute #fartglitter
ReplyDeleteThank you - Arthur is 17 m and very independent unless it comes to sleep - he hates to be on his own! X
DeleteAw so precious. My Mum in Law always tells me to "enjoy the cuddles while you can, as one day they won't want them any more" and I remind myself of this all the time (whilst trying to convince myself that my two will never grow out of them! *sobs*) Beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with #Fartglitter
It's hard to Imagine isn't it? I think I'll probably force the hugs when he's older lol!
DeleteSo true, Archie used to be a snuggly baby but now due to his Autism he doesn't like to be restricted by cuddles. I miss those nap time cuddles #twinklytuesdays
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture. I love it when my baby falls asleep in my arms even I know I shouldn't do that.... #brilliantblogposts
ReplyDeleteHaha I think I spent most of my first maternity leave in this position!! I relished in the 'baby won't sleep anywhere but on me' part! Those snuggles are the best and I can't wait to have number two now so I can get more. Although it might be a tad different with a 4 year old running round!! Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
ReplyDeleteNo way is this cheating! I used to spend all my boy's naps napping or eating sweets and readin magazines and I miss them so much #FartGlitter
ReplyDeleteIt's so true time goes to quick and you have to cherish every moment x #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so true x
