I’ve been trying out the Women’s Bamboo Pyjama Set in Juniper Polka from British Boxers, and honestly… I’m in love. If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know how much I appreciate sleepwear that feels as good as it looks, and this set absolutely delivers.

First Impressions: The Juniper Polka Bamboo Set

Incredibly soft bamboo jersey

The moment I put them on, I felt like I’d stepped into something luxurious but effortless. They’re light, smooth and honestly some of the comfiest PJs I’ve worn.

I chose a size L (large) to be on the safe side, because I like my nightwear to be roomy enough that it doesn't dig in or feel too tight when I'm sleeping. As you can see from the photos, this was the perfect size choice and I do think a smaller size would have been too tight.  I absolutely loved the 'boxer shorts' style waist band - this gave them a modern feel and added an extra bit of comfort and shape to the trousers. The elasticated legs at the bottom were comfy and mean they are more likely to stay in place when you sleep too.  

The fabric is soft and light, but it DOES cling to your curves, (which is fine unless you're walking around bra-less at your in-laws)...

Design & Aesthetic

• The Juniper Polka print is delicate and charming - a soft green base with neat polka dots feels understated rather than overly “themed.” Christmassy without being over the top, and can be worn all year round.
• The cut is classic: long-sleeved top and full-length trousers. It’s elegant but relaxed, ideal for lounging or sleeping.

Fabric & Feel

• Made from premium bamboo jersey, the fabric has a beautifully silky drape and gentle stretch.
• Bamboo is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulating. That means you stay cool when it’s warm, and cosy when it's cooler. 
• Bamboo is also one of the more sustainable fabrics - it grows fast, needs less water, and is biodegradable. 

Quality & Construction

• The seam work is neat, and you can tell this isn’t cheaply made nightwear. The finish feels durable.
• According to their site, the pyjamas are “made to last” - British Boxers emphasises slow fashion rather than throwaway garments. 
• Sizing is inclusive: the women's bamboo pajama set is available from UK size 8 up to UK 22.  I am wearing size L which is a UK 14 equivalent.

2. Clinginess: The bamboo is so soft and light that it clings to and shows off the curves of your body. Fine if you're at home but if you're staying with family, try their thicker cotton sets instead.
