As the nights get warmer though, I’ve been looking for an alternative to borrowing my hubby’s t shirt and boxers, and was absolutely delighted to discover British Boxers new season spring/summer bamboo loungewear...
If you’ve followed me for a while then you’ll no doubt have noticed my love for a blue colour palette, and their ‘ultra blue’ bamboo lace camisole short pyjama set is right up my street! Gorgeously soft and lightweight with pockets (!) and adjustable straps - it’s the perfect set for comfort and fit whilst looking great at the same time.
I decided to size up for this set - based on the fact I’ve purchased the full length bamboo pjs in both L and XL and my personal preference for nightwear is to have enough room to feel comfortable and not constricted. Both sizes work well for me, but I love to have lots of room and it also allows for any bloating depending on where in the month you may be! I chose the XL for this set.

Whilst we’re on the material of the robe, it’s actually made using the same cloth they cut for their private-label Jermyn Street production.
The company mentions that
It was thanks to Jermyn Street's support of UK craftsmanship that Staffordshire-based sleepwear firm British Boxers has become the success it is. The company started life supplying pyjamas to exclusive Jermyn Street outfitters, but it became clear that there was a wider market for quality British-made tailoring (not least for women!), and so British Boxers was born. Now the company uses the same shapes and wonderful fabrics supplied to Jermyn Street, but for its own collection.
With my very own Bond loving, ‘sartorial wannabe’ and master of the waistcoats husband (@tailoredforlaw) at home, this additional info on the British fabrics and workmanship with links to the Jermyn Street productions means that this set received an extra seal of approval (and envy)!
If you too have a man at home who also appreciates fine cloth nightwear as well as daytime attire then you can also find this Marrakesh Paisley robe in their men’s section, alongside matching luxury nightwear. Perfect if you fancy a ‘couples’ matching nightwear set that looks great on you both too!
As you can see from the photos, Spring has sprung in our garden and so I decided to take the photo shoot outdoors (the day before the bank holiday heavens opened in true British style!) whilst the blue toned flowers - cherry Ingrams, forget-me-nots and bluebells were still present. Thanks to Arthur for being my 11 year old photographer on this occasion. Thankfully we managed to get a few shots that still included all of my head/body!
If you too are looking to appreciate the simple joys of spring - bright colours; cool, soft fabrics; cosy cups of tea in the garden, morning bird song and a sudden desire to emerge from hibernation, then I implore you to take a look at the British Boxers new collection.
Yours sincerely

For extra coverage and warmth if needed, I decided to pair the bamboo camisole set with this absolutely stunning mid-length robe in 100% crisp cotton.
Aside for the Marrakesh Paisley print and colour palette being to die for, the cut and detail of this dressing gown is exquisite. My 8 year old daughter watched me walk upstairs and shouted “wow, your new dress is so pretty mummy!” and I can’t lie, I would 100% wear this as a dress if I could! The luxury robe is complete with French seams and piping along the collar, cuffs and belt. It also features inside ties and two internal pockets. If you love this pattern as much as I do, then they do also have matching nightwear - but I think this goes beautifully with the ultra blue bamboo set.
